The Incredible Journey

Chapter 10- Excitement was sweeping over the Hunter family Elizabeth, Peter and Mr. and Mrs. Hunter were happy to be on the way back to their homeland, their friends, their home and of course their pets; but they would soon realize that comming home was not what they would have expected. Poor Mr. Longridge and Mrs. Oakes were pacing and worying and wondering what had happened to the animals. Later on that night Mr. Longridge came up with a theory of were they were going and why, whitch was true, but as he explaned it to Mrs. Oakes she did not have enough faith in the animals to proove the theory true and Mr. Longridge was realizing the fault in it too. They would have died of starvetion or been eaten by a bear or at least drowened. They stayed up almost all night calling people and figuring out the route the animals would have taken trying to avoid having to be the bearrer of bad news to the Hunter family. That night John Longridge was laying awake in bed imagining the uncomfortable, unwelcoming pushing and shoving of the old dog`s lazy body on the bed but tonight it was not there and he had no other choise but to miss it. If only you would come back! he said lovingly and sad to the dark of the night.
The telephone was ringing all night

The Incredible Journey

Chapter 9- the only way to discribe this chapter is luck. The trio have somehow stumbled upon a farmland were live a farmer and his wife, a older couple who have had children and many animals. bodger spotted them and went right up to them scratched on their door and they welcomed him with open arms. Tao had spotted Bodger pull this stunt and joinned the other cats that they had in the barn; but Luath went out to have some hunting time for he was starving, almost to death. Luck saves him too though for just after Bodger arrived at his door, the farmer went out hunting for some extra food, he could see his prey on the lake, a few ducks when suddenly they were scared by something in the bush behind them or should I say someone. The hunter was confused but shot the birds anyways, one landed on the shore of the lake but one fell into the water, "Man how am I going to get that now!" said the farmer; when to his supprise, Luath came out of the bushes and in to the lake to rieitreive the kill. The farmer was speachless and all he could think of sayong was "Good dog." 'What a day a afectionate, homeless dog and a hunting dog in one day. He brought him home and took care of him, pulled the quills out of his swolen face and gave them both things to eat. They were in good shape when they snuck away two days later and ready for their jopurney again almost like new animals.
